Does AI know what your business does?

If AI thinks you're a café when you're a bakery, it won't recommend you when someone nearby looks for bread. A wrong category is a small mistake that leaves you out of whole searches.

Today's tip

1. Ask ChatGPT or Gemini: "What kind of business is [your business] in [your city], and what does it offer?"
2. Compare the answer with what you actually do and the area you serve.
3. If it's wrong, check the primary category on your Google Business Profile and the first line of your website.
4. Use the same words in the directories that list you.
5. Ask again in a few weeks.
